How it works
- 1Install SignaCast from the Amazon Appstore, or push it from the Signage Stick console
- 2A pairing code appears on the TV
- 3Enter the code in Manager › Screens › Pair, and assign content
About Fire TV for SignaCast
The SignaCast app for Fire TV is the Android TV player built for Fire OS, so it plays the same playlists, schedules, layouts and designs on a Fire TV Stick 4K or Max, a Fire TV Cube or the Amazon Signage Stick. Pairing takes one code typed into the Manager; from then on the screen updates itself and reports when it was last seen.
Designs are rendered server-side at full resolution and streamed to the device. Live streams, tickers and crossfades play natively, and content is cached on the device so playback continues through a network drop.
The Amazon Signage Stick is built for unattended screens: it powers on straight into SignaCast with no home screen, reboots on a schedule, wakes the panel over HDMI-CEC and is managed as a fleet from Amazon's console. A Fire TV Stick 4K or Max, or a Fire TV Cube, works too, but start on boot is less reliable there.
