How it works
- 1Install the SignaCast app through SuperSign or a USB stick, or from the LG Content Store
- 2A pairing code appears on the display
- 3Enter the code in Manager › Screens › Pair, and assign content
About LG webOS for SignaCast
The SignaCast player for LG webOS runs on LG's commercial signage displays and on LG smart TVs. It plays your playlists, schedules, layouts and designs. Pairing takes one code typed into the Manager; from then on the screen updates itself.
webOS has a built-in browser engine, so designs are drawn on the display itself and a live stream plays inside a layout region like any other content. The player keeps the last good content and continues playing it if the network drops.
LG signage displays (SuperSign) start the player on power-on, run their own on/off schedule, lock the remote and can be mounted in portrait. A consumer LG TV plays the same content, but the app has to be opened by hand after a power cycle, so it suits demos and attended screens rather than unattended installs.
